Game - Train Station 2

 

Full title : Train Station 2: Railroad Tycoon & Train Conductor

Trian station 2 is a train and business simulation video game, which must be played with an internet connection - it will give you an error screen asking to reload, should you try to connect without it, or if you loose your connection.

The game consists of jobs given by NPC's - to collect and deliver materials, for various rewards. A station you 'control' with buildings, and a population to grow. 

Game - Cookie crush

When you start the game, it'll load an applet for it, in the center of your PC screen, or fill your smartphone screen fully. I cannot test on tablet as I don't own one, but I assume it'll display somewhere in-between. 

I present Softgames' Cookie Crush : 

In this match-three-puzzle game I discovered on Facebook, you match various pastries in groups of 3 to five identical, which eliminates them, bringing further down  the lines from above, and the puzzle refills with further pastries from the top tier.

Game - Master archer

On Facebook, Playcanvas powered the game Master archer, where your goals are to hone your archery skills, by shooting arrows at fruit on top of a character's head, in increasing difficulty.

Game - Battleship

on Facebook, Battleship, currently at version 1.4.0.4 beta, allows you to place 5 ships, on a board of 8x8 squares. You can practice, or select opponents - either from your friend list or random. 

Game - Top spin 4

After criticising quite severely the other tennis game I tried on ps3 (Virtua tennis 4), today's the turn for Top Spin 4.

This game is more demure graphics, but the animations are a lot better and more fluid than Virtua's.
Players have more varied animations in their victories, though one can notice a few repetitions, they are less so than Virtua's. Players have more personality, as well.

Game - Virtua Tennis 4

Virtua tennis 4 which I played on PS3 (but also available on wii) is a game that I absolutely hated.

Console - PS3

It took me several years until I decided to get the PS3, after having exhausted my PS2 from over-use as a game console as well as DVD player. 

By this time, I had already improved my set-up with a DVD and later BD players ; I never used the PS3 for anything else than gaming, as I wish to keep its laser lens functional.

Game- LOTR risk

The lord of the rings risk is a strategy game based on the lord of the rings where the map represents Middle-Earth and tokens are armies of this particular fictional world, initially created by JRR Tolkien. 

Games : Sudoku

If you type Sudoku on a search engine, you'll find millions of results. In all Sudoku games, the goal is simple but the way to achieve it may be a difficult one : you must fill 9x9 grids on a paper, or more modern and ecological, on apps on your computer, smartphone or tablet. 

Game - Bubble witch saga

Another facebook game I play is Bubble witch saga, which is a Puzzle game. 

According to this wiki dedicated to the game and its sequel, there are 90 episodes, with a grand total of 1770 levels, the last released only 5 days ago, but which I cannot check as I'm only at level 291 in the main map... 

The wiki page details all about the bubble types and most levels, their specific screens, creatures and goals. I'll let you discover those there and thus avoid plagiarising as well as having to gather more info on my end.

Console - PS2

I know, I know, I'm showing my age with this post, that I'd gotten the PS2 console back in 2001, after saving enough cash from my then-job.

PS2, or Playstation 2, was a console that was quite popular in its days. I chose it because of my faithfulness to Sony products, its price was affordable at that time, and most games I wanted were released on it - sometimes exclusively. 

Game - Farm heroes saga

Farm heroes saga is a rather fan but sometimes tedious and difficult tile-matching video game, made by a company called "King". 

In this one, you have to match at least 3 tiles of the same kind of farm-crop, or eggs, water droplets, or flowers. 

Matching 5 of a kind will gather all of the same crops on the board, even those which need "cleaning" if a particular level has ''dirty" crops. 
On the other hand, gathering a set where there is even one dirty crop will cancel all the lined crops. 

Game - Checkers

Checkers, also called English draughts is a board game that my grand father had thought me to play and would enjoy to show me the endgames he'd invented each time I'd visit him during school holidays.

On playing games

To the question of why do I play games ? I'll reply that they offer nice challenges for my brain, which is very important for at least two reasons. 

The First  is, that I experience memory loss, which is the result of several causes, and thus to play games, helps my brain to find new things through the research of solutions to the challenges pauses in each game. 

The second is that I suffer from mental illnesses, and thus playing games not only entertains but also distracts me from them.
